Mystery of History Geography Question

For volume 1, has anyone added in a separate geography curriculum? Maybe along the lines of a cultural study to enhance the lessons? We've done MOH in the past so I have an understanding of their integrated geography and it's not quite what I want this time around.

My dd is very fascinated by the differences in world cultures, and since we will be starting the MOH cycle again this year, I was wondering if anyone ever added geography successfully. Not just a workbook or notebooking type extra, but a full geography curriculum like Galloping the Globe or COAH Expedition Earth, for late elementary possibly early junior high level (depending on difficulty).

Thanks for any advice :)
