5nomads
Someone suggested that the game Brain Age for the Nintendo DS could improve working memory. Has anyone tried this? This is one activity I think I could get my kids to willingly participate in if it would be helpful. I've seen them used at Gamestop for less than $10. Any other cheap or free suggestions for improving working memory?
Citrusheights5
We've seen improvement with the old simon game. Didn't translate over to digits or print, but definately improved capasity from 3 items to well over 8.

LaughingCat
I have seen small versions of the original simon for a lot cheaper than that -- I got one at Target for $5 I believe. This one -- must have been on clearance I guess
Citrusheights5
Yes like that. We picked it up at a thrift store for $2.00. We got the newer one for Christmas and it was also a hit. http://m.target.com/p/hasbro-simon-swipe-game/-/A-15307681?ref=tgt_adv_XSG10001&AFID=google_pla_df&LNM=15307681&CPNG=Toys&kpid=15307681&LID=34pgs&ci_src=17588969&ci_sku=15307681&kpid=15307681&gclid=CjwKEAjws5CrBRD8ze702_2dyjYSJAAAJK9y_nJMrxo6svEr-mP6KhmN-qCJbUvHA26Czw2cL1L3lhoCC5Pw_wcB
