momto2Cs
My dd is very intrigued by Exploring the Way Life Works (Hoagland), and I would love to find physics and chemistry suggestions along the same lines, as we are planning a year or so of integrated sciences. Any recommendations?

Saddlemomma
You may enjoy looking at Novare Physical Science. It integrates math with science, and as you will see by the TOC I've linked to in the name of the text, it covers quite a bit while only being 349 pages (totally doable in a year without having to skip chapters). Right now, their 1st edition book is on sale for $50 while supplies last. It's basically the same book, just some different pictures and layout. This is an old-earth Christian science text written by John Mays, however he does also offer a secular version.
