madteaparty
I'm one of those people that don't know what to get their own kid for their birthday. I will ruminate on that later, but presently I'm left with a couple of days and no feasible ideas. We already got him an "experience" gift (trip to Universal studios and a baking class w friends) but I want a couple for him to open. We have the Anki drive and he is getting an extra car from grandma. Any ideas for me? The drone he wants is 400$ and so not happening. MeAndTheBoys
My 12 year old likes cool pens--gel pens and stuff. Cash, like the real green stuff--not gift cards. But he DOES like Starbucks gift cards because I NEVER take him there and he thinks it's awesome. He's kind of my image-guy, so he'd probably like an expensive-ish shirt or socks or anything that is a "cool brand" in his eyes-- running shirts, mesh shorts. Sketchbooks of blank paper. Chalk--he is my driveway artist :) New soccer ball (ours are always popping) or other outdoor thing-- I want to get them a tetherball set sometime or new soccer goals. My boys usually ask for nothing, thinking that is humility, lol, but it sure does make it hard for me. His bday isn't until November and I will have forgotten all of these ideas by then, lol-- B
umsami
My son still loves Legos. He just saved up his money to buy this $40 Ninjago set. What about some cash for Universal....maybe in his own wallet (if he doesn't have one)?
Tanaqui
I generally get the kids books. Sometimes I think I should branch out, but I end up falling back on books.
Bensmom
My ds 12 still loves lego, Pokemon, and ds and wii video games. He plays outside a lot too and loves his hammock, slack line, nerf guns, archery stuff, cheap plastic swords and "medieval" cape (99 cent pattern and easy to sew) and of course duck tape (usually used to reinforce his homemade cardboard swords). He also is a scout so b-days usually include camping gear.
*Lulu*
Legos, think geek shirts, season pass to Dr, Who on amazon streaming, iTunes gift cards, cookbooks, and cooking supplies.
