Annie G
It's supposed to be aged before they sell it to you so maybe yours is just getting better. Mine is an infant compared to yours...I'm guessing three years here.
maize
Nah, it's probably better when aged. What I really want to know is how you pronounce the name.

Laura Corin
I can't find a date on mine, but it can't be more than six years or so - I definitely didn't bring it from China.
lailasmum
My dad always used to say it was better the older it got. Ours has got to about a decade before I've chucked it.

SparklyUnicorn
I thought you'd never ask! WOOSS-tuh-shuh. See that's an easy pronunciation. I think I'd get odd looks. Nobody seems to agree.

I'm always baffled when I find stuff like that in the fridge because I do clean my fridge out regularly. Maybe not regularly enough, but it's more than once a year.
Laura Corin
See that's an easy pronunciation. I think I'd get odd looks. Nobody seems to agree. My MIL used to say war-CHEST-ter-shire. SparklyUnicorn
My MIL used to say war-CHEST-ter-shire. LOL I say something like woos ti sher (short i). Which is awkward.
SparklyUnicorn
Oh well listening to the pronunciations I don't think my pronunciation is too bad. I just always feel very uncomfortable having to say it.
chocolatechip
Maybe a year or two. We got a new bottle recently.
Jean in Newcastle
Only about a month old. I got rid of all sauces when I went gluten free and only bought ones with the gluten free logo on them.
Tanaqui
We go through that stuff like crack here, so it's only about six months old.
Amira
It'll expire in 2016. I never get to keep bottles of anything for very long. I'll pass it on to my neighbor before I go.
HS Mom in NC
We're frequent users too, so I buy the package of two at Costco.
kewb
Mine is certainly years old. I rarely use it now that dh is gluten free. I only used it occasionally prior to his going gluten free but now I only use it when he is out of town and know he won't eat what I prepared with it. Cinder
I don't even have any because I finally threw it out after who knows how many years. Now I see we still have A-1 sauce that no one ever uses . . .
Miss Mousie
<smugly> Mine is only about a year old... <sheepishly> but only because we finally ran the old one dry at that time. It was probably at least five years old. And then ... DH and I each went shopping separately, and each bought a new bottle. So now I have two. I'm guessing "the twins" will last a looong time! And I think I pronounce it WORST-er-shur. Which should probably get me kicked off the boards.
TechWife
Mine is about three months old - we use it semi-regularly so we go through about one bottle per year.
Lady Florida.
The last bottle was probably as old as yours but then one day something really weird happened. I used the rest of it! Guest
Mine is only about three months old since it was opened, but it sat in the pantry for six months, as it was part of a two pack from Costco. I eat a lot of steak and use it quite frequently, and it is also additive as a 'secret ingredient"' to several of my soup and pasta recipes that always get raves :)

I toss it in my chili, in my shepherd's pie, in my tuna patties, in meatloaf, in mac and cheese, when I make french onion dip.... Not in pasta, though. Pasta with fish gets fish sauce, pasta without fish gets molasses, just a little.

Tap
(Ducking) we go through at least one, if not two bottles a year LOL Ours is about 2 months old but I was pretty surprised when I checked it and the exp date is in 4-2016. We use it in marinades, so it is easy to go through a bottle in half a dozen uses.
Farrar
Good grief. I had to go look. Two bottles. Both "best by" dates in 2014. I know why I have two bottles though. My mother and I had an argument at least two years ago now while at the grocery store about whether there was Worcestershire sauce in my cabinet. I insisted there was. She insisted there wasn't. And as such, she bought another bottle.

AMJ
THAT'S what I forgot at the grocery store! I emptied out the fridge of anything 2 years past its use by date, and anything that predates use by dates. I need to replace my W sauce. In my defense that was one bottle that was almost empty, anyway.
Wabi Sabi
We seem to run out of Worcestchire sauce pretty frequently. Oh the other hand, however, I recently threw away a little jar of sambal oelek chili paste that I know had to be about 8-10 years old, and I had some fish sauce in the fridge that was scary old as well... mrsrevmeg
I thought you'd never ask! WOOSS-tuh-shuh. ETA: or WOOSS-ter-sher if you are from one of the counties that pronounce the 'r'. My husband made fun of me for a long time about how to say it. We looked it up on dictionary.com and used the voice. I was able to say HA- IN YOUR FACE! control myself like a grown-up. The real question is, why do you people let it go bad? We go through several bottles a year. Grilled meats, baked potatoes, marinades, sometimes burgers, that stuff is GOOD.
Mandylubug
I've also been known to call it "juice from the worst of the shire" if I have watched Lord of the Rings lately... not many think it is as funny as I do, though!

Mimm
We use it often enough that it would never last that long. Currently, we're out and I didn't have it when I wanted it last. Thanks for the reminder to add it to the grocery list. :)
Rachel
Ours is only 2 weeks old. Apparently we go through it faster than the average family because our previous bottle was bought around Thanksgiving.
IfIOnly
I've had two unopened bottles in the pantry, like, forever, but there's no opened bottle anywhere. :) I think I bought it to make meatloaf but hamburger has been so expensive for so long! We eat a ton of chicken 'round here. :P
