TeacherZee
Thought it might be fun to collect the day's April Fools jokes from around the world. I'll start it off: My employer claimed that they are going to stop our "Healthy living hours"* and replace it with a doggy day care that the Adult Special Ed students are running. We will be allowed to take the dogs out for a walk instead. Amazon has gone retro. *We get one hour a week that we are paid for when we are supposed to do something that benefits our health. We can take this hour whenever it fits our schedule. I start late on Thursdays because my workouts are outwith my hours. And no this is no joke, it is part of my benefits package. Isabella
We are over the other side of the country, but my adult girls are home. I got a text to say our 9 yo dog is vomiting and won't get off her bed, and what should they do. I'm usually calm, so I replied to just wait a little bit and see how it progresses, but my stomach was sinking because she's a big dog, so average ten year life span. My daughter texted back immediately to say April fool! I laughed over them catching me out, but was very relieved it wasn't true. Normally I'm the one that catches everyone out, but being away from home, I hadn't thought about it.
Hikin' Mama
I teach a cross fit class for homeschooled teens. I'm going to write out an insane workout for them on the whiteboard and have them start and see if any of them says anything. We joke around a lot together, so this will be fun! I also took a picture of my running shoes (I have a few pair, ahem) and put it on FB with the words, " Running shoes for sale. My knees can't take it anymore. Will trade for comfy couch." In the past, I changed my profile pic to one of Shakespeare and my other pic to the Globe Theater and my FB name to Wm. Shakespeare (or some other variation, FB wouldn't let me use his actual name) and posted quotes all day, such as, "To like or not to like, that is the question." And something like,"All the world's a FB wall, and all the men and women merely posters on it." I had several that I made up that were a FB twist on Shakespeare. I thought I was hilarious, but two people defriended me and my sister-in-law called me and told me she thought I'd been hacked. Did no one realize it was April FOOL'S Day? I loved every minute of it!

TeacherZee
The police in a neighbouring county put up that there was a new website where you could see where they had their speed traps :)
