3girls4me
Can anyone give me thoughts on which of these they like best? I like simple, don't want to have assignments added to certain times (like 9-10:00), want to be able to add chores and activities too. Want it to print well to hand to each child each week. I'm looking at these: Scholaric homeschool planet Homeschool manager Well planned day Thoughts? Thanks!
abacus2
I am a big fan of Homeschool Planet. Unless something drastic has changed Well Planned Day is unusable. They started selling their product several years before it was ready, then it got worse. They were terrible to their disappointed customers and continued to sell their unfinished product to unsuspecting new people. I don't know if they have a working system yet or not. Scholaric wasn't a good fit for me, and I am not familiar with Homeschool Manager.
3girls4me
When I looked at homeschool planet it looked like you listed subjects at certain times/hours vs just having a list of what you do each day for each subject. Is there a way to do it differently?
abacus2
When I looked at homeschool planet it looked like you listed subjects at certain times/hours vs just having a list of what you do each day for each subject. Is there a way to do it differently? Yes, just schedule all your classes using the "no particular time" option.

ByGrace3
Well Planned Day was a train wreck...I am a big fan of Scholaric. You can schedule chores and activities as subjects.

Suzanne115
I LOVE Homeschool Planet. Before that, I used and really like Scholaric. Both are very user friendly. Suzanne

LaxMom
Also love Homeschool Planet. I liked Scholaric, too, but there were some features I wanted that it didn't have (I can't remember what they were). We used Homeschool Minder instead, and I liked that a lot, too, but I get the user interface of Homeschool Planet more naturally, if that makes sense. scrapper4life
It depends on what you are looking for. I looked at all the ones mentioned and even did fake, mini examples of our school to try out most of them. I ended up with Homeschool Skedtrack. It is free, like Scholaric. Unfortunately, the tutorials don't show all the functionality available. I think they need to upgrade those videos so folks know about the improvements. I, too, wanted simple. It fits the bill for us and allows me to track what I need to for our state and personal records.
Mrs. Tharp
I've been very happy with Homeschool Planet. I haven't tried the other ones to compare, sorry.
zimom
Love Homeschool Planet. Has done everything I wanted. Can print schedules or each child can log on independently. So many features.
kahlanne
I love Scholaric. It is very easy to use and does everything I need. However it isn't free any more. I pay $5 per month for my 3 children which I find more than reasonable.
3girls4me
Thanks ladies! I've narrowed it down to Homeschool Planet and Scholaric. Right now, it's easier to figure out Homeschool Planet but I'll keep playing with them.
