Slache
My husband's turning 30 on the 16th of this month and we were just going to go out for sushi, but we came up with $150 for a date night. We have enough for a sitter as well. What would you do? We don't really go out because we're so broke most of the time. He loves sushi, and that should cost $50, but we're open to alternatives. Cammie
I would look to see if there is any local theatre playing? Or any shows?
Tap
Check local bars for live music. There is usually a bit of a cover charge so make sure to check ahead of time, but it can be great for a bit of fun and still a chance to spend time together rather inexpensively. If you find artists that you are unfamiliar with, check Youtube. Many local bands have music there so you can check to make sure it is a style you like.

Slache
Powell's Books. Oh... This could be a thing. I would look to see if there is any local theatre playing? Or any shows? I looked, but couldn't find anything fun. That's why I'm asking. I'm sure other people have different ideas and probably things I've never heard of. We're going to Cirque Du Soleil in May! That was already budgeted for and we're taking the kids.

DawnM
I have not had a fun night in Portland in a long while. Most of the time I am just passing through, staying overnight with relatives, and driving on. But I do like the Alberta Arts District, Chinatown for food, and walking along the Pearl District. What sorts of things do you like to do?
