Northwestern's GIfted online classes?

I am exploring physics and other science options for my rising 8th grader for next year, and our homeschool advisor suggested checking out Northwestern's options. I see they offer Physics Honors but it is unclear what the format is. Can someone who has taken courses through them perhaps share how the classes are run? Are they live? Do they use Blackboard or some other interface? Thank you for sharing!

My son took a language for one year and it was not a good experience. The instructor was nice, just not dependable and only lasted a year. Yes, they did use Blackboard, I think, and they occasionally had online classes.

What you could do is ask who teaches and how long that person has been teaching the class. I think one of Dirty Ethel's children took physics through one of the NU online schools. Not sure if it was GLL. Maybe if you post your question over at the high school board you'll get more responses.

Kathy in Richmond and Regentrude would probably have some good advice. IIRC, they have mentioned what their kids used and how they went about studying. That might be helpful even if you do decide to use GLL.

Also, there are some online videos that teach high school science classes and some are free. You might already know about these, but I'll link one of them anyway.
