IATeachingMom
What are some good math programs in spanish? This would be for a kindergartener. I speak quite a bit of spanish and would like to start teaching my son it using a spanish only curric. If anyone has any thoughts on easy spanish workbooks that would also be helpful. Thanks! mom2bee
MEP offers a free Math curriculum for grades 1-4 in Spanish. Math Mammoth offeres a math curriculum for grades 1-7, but the books are topical, not by grade and are very economical in price. Rod and Staff has a completes math program for grades 1-6. You can find many resources on school websites for Spanish language support in their textbooks and worksheets in spanish if you are crafty about your internet searches. Try searching districts websites for schools in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and Florida. If you are conversant in Spanish and comfortable in math, then some Spanish language articles and math help videos in Spanish might be enough to help you get started teaching your child mathematics via Spanish by simply explaining the material to your child. (IE: You can watch KhanAcademy in Spanish and then explain the lesson to your child.) At the Kindergarten level you cover basic things like counting, skip counting, simple addition and subtraction, patterns and place value. If your child isn't a reader yet, you can use an English book and just teach in Spanish.
Random
If you don't mind Christian content, Rod & Staff has lots of primary math & grammar in Spanish: http://www.milestonebooks.com/list/Libros_en_Espanol/
Renai
All of the above (I've used MEP), plus Santillana USA. They are a school supplier that publishes native Spanish material. I had purchased all my math from them when my oldest dd was younger. What I used is no longer published, but they have other series. At the K level, I found it just as easy to take an English curriculum and translate it. It wasn't until about the 2nd grade that I needed the teacher manual to explain things in Spanish as I'm not a native speaker. I plan to use MEP and R & S for my younger child.
