Graded Arabic readers

I can suggest Iqra Book Center, but they are also in the US. Would shipping from the UK be any better? Islamicbooks.org.uk and ukbooksplus.com might have something.

Ad-Duha has materials for learning Arabic that can be purchased as downloads, if you haven't already checked them out.

I also did a Google search on "Islamic Books Australia" and found several suppliers.

HTH!

Shipping is usually a little cheaper from the US, but I'll check out those English sites. I don't think I've seen them before, but it's all beginning to melt together in my head, so maybe I have. :p  I fully expect to pay international shipping and can't print out downloads atm because the printer is playing games with us.

There are several suppliers for Islamic books in Australia, but not Arabic books.

We can't use online games, more's the pity.

I've just found http://www.araboh.com, which is a site new to me. They don't have three words per page readers, but I'll file them away for the future.

If US shipping is OK, do check out Iqra. Also, I found a couple of places that carry Medinah Basic Readers, among others. One even carries the Iqra readers:

Please, someone tell me where to buy graded Arabic readers other than Noorart?

I estimate we'll be ready for books with three words per page in around about the time international mail takes!

(As long as they only use short vowels. :p )

What are you using for the main Arabic program? Is it secular?

We're only working on reading and handwriting atm. So yeah, secular. But nothing that will help you any I wouldn't think. I went to the Muslim shop and bought all the handwriting books marked "book 1." I'm rubbish at learning spoken languages and dd has a language disorder, so we're going along happily at snail's pace. We will have to learn vocab from reading, because that is our strength.

I did look at IQRA but I can't see anything simple enough to begin with. That's what the Muslim schools around here use, but of course they have Arabic speaking teachers. The Muslim shop (one you linked to Ahasrada, I'm even on first name basis with one of the shop assistants there now!) sells the Madinah readers, but they are not proper little books that dd will sit down and read.

http://www.araboh.comhas some maths books. I'm going to give them a go with dd to see what happens.

I heartily second Omar & Maryam. The books sound like they would be exactly at your DC's level (only a few words per page). DC LOVE this site mostly because they can actually understand what they are reading! Perhaps you can look at https://bookstolearnarabic.wordpress.com.Thereare PDF of various texts, including Arabic textbooks for Palestinian students.

If you can visit a B&M store, look for the Toleen & Friends series published by Dar Rabie. This is the Arabic version of Martine & Friends (by Gilbert Delahaye). There are many versions at different reading levels, some of the board books would be at the right level for your DC, but the commonly found ones with stickers are fun to use and might be just right also. These ones introduce new words as images first and then replace them gradually with the actual word without the picture support.

Surprisingly, amazon.com also has interesting Arabic children's books. You might also look at the Scholastic My Arabic series.

Good luck.

I just found a new site that might have what you're looking for, Sanabil Books, with some rather simple children's books. Oxford University Press also has a series of graded readers. I haven't gotten my hands on one yet, but I am familiar with th Oxford Reading Tree series of English graded readers, and if these Arab Club Readers are anything similar, they would be just about right. Simple sentences with repeating words, and the difficulty increases gradually. (I included the link to Book Depository because it seems to be free shipping, but you can also get them from amazon.
