arnold Posted January 27, 2015 Share Posted January 27, 2015 I was asked to bring an appetizer for a party on Saturday. The main dishes are lasagna, meatballs, basically Italian food. Also, I live 2 hours away but will have time to reheat, or assemble the dish before it's served. I'm really at a loss, should I stay with the Italian theme or is it OK to deviate? An easy appetizer is to chop up a small jar of marinaded artichokes and mix with a bit of the marinade, chopped garlic, mayo 3/4 c. and Parmesan cheese (1/2 c.) I just wing these amounts. Cut a loaf of italian bread in half the long way and Spread artichoke mixture on both sides. Sprinkle with some mozzarella and bake at 350 til warm and toasty 10-20 minutes.
