bleeding computer.com has a very detailed section that is kept updated with how to remove a lot of the latest viruses. Highly suggest checking to see if that is listed there.

It is best to go to the site I suggested while on another computer or device so that it doesn't get redirected to what looks like a legit site but isnt.  My cousin's dh is a tech for a major university, and that is the site he suggests to anyone who has a virus because its pretty much made up of people who do his job.  It will show you where the virus hides files and how to delete them.

Definitely a known virus. I got a similar virus on my computer and it took a bit of cleaning.

Antivirus programs are kind of like flu shots. They update them all the time to try and catch the newest variations, but they don't catch everything and the people who make the viruses are continually modifying them to try and make them harder to catch. Once the virus has gotten in, the antivirus frequently has a much more difficult time getting rid of it.

If you want to try it yourself, I suggest you use a different computer to download something like Malwarebytes (the best program I've found yet) onto a flash drive, then boot your computer into safe mode, install Malwarebytes, and run it. If what I just said sounds like blahblahblah, I really recommend you ask for step-by-step directions on bleepingcomputer.
