Duolingo offline and with dial-up, questions

Recommended Posts

Does anyone here do Duolingo with a dial-up connection successfully? If so, what type of computer and what browser are you using and what is your dial-up speed if you know it?

I have heard that Duolingo can now be used offline in a limited way, but due to my dial up and that it no longer recognizes our Mac's Safari to get on at all, even when I went somewhere with wireless, I cannot see discussions on how to do that or how much can be done offline (assuming I could somehow get some loaded once per week, say).

We really loved Duolingo and were sad when it "improved" and "updated" past our ability to get it. Any help with how we might be able to use it still would be appreciated.

Faster connectivity is not expected in my area anytime in the foreseeable future. And no, we do not have cell phone service here either. Neighbors who got a satellite service say it is not better/faster than the dial-up was, and a problem because we are in a forest area with tall trees.
