Long shot-looking for resources about breakdown of materials in the environment

Recommended Posts

This is a quasi-chemistry topic, or environmental science, but really ds is just interested in learning about how certain materials, like latex gloves, nitrile gloves, plastics of various kinds, grocery store plastic bags, etc. break down in the environment.  Any ideas for resources?  TIA!!

I saw a book in a store once called Recycling Projects for the Evil Genius, it had some really cool projects. It wasn't what I was looking for at the time, but I put it on my wish list for future reference. I think there were some projects where you recycled certain types of plastics into plastic building materials.
