He ordered Deutsche Heute used, and it won't come till Jan 7, which is too late. Does anyone know where I can rent etextbooks? Does anyone happen to have this text that they want to sell? Joules Posted December 22, 2014 Share Posted December 22, 2014 Try the library. Ours doesn't have textbooks, but they have some great workbooks and grammar guides that I use with my students. I think they would be perfect for a quick study. Just get the scope and sequence or the table of contents from the textbook to know what he needs to cover. There aren't tons of options for German so chances are they have that book or something else that could work. Ok, but I have to ask. Has he taken any German in the past? I'm imagining someone attempting to learn a lot of German in a couple of weeks without any prior experience. That would be quite a feat! I was thinking he was reviewing. I'm not sure any of the resources that I have could manage that. And the three textbooks that I've used through the years weren't complete enough to learn at that level. They all assumed that there was instruction along with, though I haven't seen Deutsche Heute. I'm going to buy a used copy. The tutor has them using Portfolio, but I'd really like them to have a reference textbook that covers everything (like most physics or math texts) rather than just their notes.
