blondeviolin
My fix for a migraine is usually ibuprofen and a red bull. Now I get Tylenol...which is like swallowing sugar pills. (Yes, my midwife has checked my thyroid, my iron, my blood sugar, etc.)
Amira
:grouphug: I hope the Tylenol helps at least a little.

Hypatia.
Ugh, I'm sorry. I have chronic migraines and I take Fioricet for them during my pregnancies.
medawyn
Tylenol does nothing for me, but taking it with half of a (real) Coke at least put a dent in the headache. Not perfect, but better than nothing. The tip was from my OB.
EmseB
I feel your pain (literally!). I got migraines for about a week towards the end of my last pregnancy, and of course I thought blood pressure/pre-eclampsia. But, no, they were "just" migraines, and my OB told me to call my GP, and my GP told me that I could take Tylenol unless my OB said something different. Tylenol for a migraine is a joke. This pregnancy I get to have kidney issues/stones. And it feels like the options for getting any kind of pain under control are either a) poisoning the kid, or b) horrible suffering. Blech. Tammi K
I took Imitrex throughout my last two pregnancies. Then I participated in a study on the effects of Imitrex on pregnancy and outcomes. I sympathize.
blondeviolin
Thanks for commiserating, y'all! I think I got it under control between Tylenol, caffeine, and some dark spaces. It's always just behind my eyes. I wish there was a tell for me beyond the beginning of a headache that is light sensitive. Tylenol does nothing for me, but taking it with half of a (real) Coke at least put a dent in the headache. Not perfect, but better than nothing. The tip was from my OB. I don't drink a ton of caffeine, so chasing my Tylenol with a Red Bull makes a big difference.
Laura Corin
I had them with Calvin. They stopped after he was born and I didn't get them with Hobbes. Best of luck.
Katy
Have you tried a magnesium supplement, or a bath with epsom salts?
I talk to the trees
:grouphug: How are you feeling this morning? My OB flat out told me that acetaminophen wouldn't do anything for a migraine. He suggested a Coke and an icepack.
