bath twins

milk 2 cows

2 loads of washing washed, hung out and dried

make week's baking of bread

phone from twin's case manager to work out all the final details of the 850km round trip to see birth parents that I am doing this weekend. I am going to be seriously upset if the parents do not turn up after all. it is going to be a nightmare trying to travel this distance on public transport with twins who can barely walk form bust to train etc that cannot fit a twin pram unfolded. I am going by myself - no need to expose my other children to crazies.

clean house ( why did I bother?? it is just the same again)

finish the year's Science with DD14 and the yers worth of history with ds11. ( school year ends in Dec here in AUs)

make a surprise roast for tea - turned out to be a funny cut lamb roast

now in the process of making 3 kg raspberry jam

washing dishes

cleaning kitchen

 washing a load of nappies

after I have done that I will still need to do a day's worth of schoolwork with DS11 who has decided it is way easier to concentrate in the evening after twins are in bed

hang nappies

 and fold washing

I am starting to feel exhausted at the 5 am start and the 11 pm finish each day.

Good morning!

Ds is sick with very low grade fever and a stuffy nose and sore throat. That really throws a kink into my plans. Today was supposed to be finish up the last 2 things in school and take them shopping for their dad's birthday and Christmas. Dd wanted to shop for her 2 best friends whom she sees late this afternoon for a sleep over. She has been hesitant about driving and getting her license, so she can't go it alone.

I'm not sure what all will be tackled today, so I might post as I go.

Done:

breakfast and lunch for dh

cats fed and watered

hot lemon-honey water for ds

coffee and computer time for me

36 degrees outside and I have to go walking :( Another Nutcracker-y day ahead, but the end (tomorrow) of the three weeks of crazy is in sight!

So:

--exercise

--wake exhausted dd (thankfully, her feet have been holding up well)

--laundry

--finish decorating cookies

--help her bag/wrap said cookies

--math, chem, English

--feed dd whenever she wants to eat

--get her to warmup at 4:30

--actually watch this performance from a paid seat :)

Better get my sneakers on! See you all later :D

Good morning, took dd 1 to school and in the process had to remove a deer carcass from the end of my driveway (so she was late).

Stopped at Tim Hortons on the way home to use a gift card I won and found out they don't take e-gift cards (they don't have the scanner) I didn't have any cash with me but they gave me my small cafe mocha any ways :D

- dishes- done

- laundry- load in washer and dryer

- tidy house- round 1 done

- crochet

- get dd1 off bus

- employee family party for dh's work

- bedtime routine

- anything else I manage to get done- took a nap with dd2, cleaned out microwave, cleaned out my car

Help kids think about what they are going to make for each other for Christmas.

I feel like I sort of lost my week with our unexpected company here from Tuesday to Thursday and I need to sort of pull out gifts and run them through my fingers, er, or look at them or something, just so I can see where I am and if I have just the perfect amount or not.

My main concern today is that we have a tradition of making each other gifts.  We have done it for the last 4 Christmases or so. The kids have been so creative about what they are making - I just love it!  But it requires a little mom intervention.  We don't generally start this until after school is out, so we are not behind, but we do need to get going with it.  It makes for a fun few days before Christmas - lots of little sneaky elves in the workshop!  So, I need to decide what I am making and get that started, and the kids need to let me know what they are making so I can be sure that we have the supplies... ho ho ho!

Dad care is done till this evening.

I have the boys dusting the dining room right now.  I'm going to get to work in the kitchen (I took two days off, so you can imagine the mess in there).

We're going to the library later.  I'm going to get Luke into their Scout group since ours broke up.  We *might* even get some books.

I have to change our sheets, get dinner defrosting, and make some snacks for our movie night.

Maybe, I'll wrap some more presents, but I doubt it.

Dad is good till tomorrow morning :)

The dining room is dust free and I only have a few pots left to wash.

We *did* get books from the library.  Turns out, our last visit was in '11....  hoping to make this a weekly thing.  Youngest ds's Scout membership runs out this month, so reupping into the new pack happened at the perfect time.

Dinner is defrosted........  the sheets are still on the bed.  I just changed them last week :whine whine whine:

All in all, a decent day.  I'm getting back on track.

Good Evening....

I've had a busy day.  Here's what I've accomplished.

  • paid all of January's bills
  • went to 3 banks
  • had my nails done
  • took Ella to boarder and vacuumed out the Burb for our trip tomorrow
  • gassed up the Burb for our trip tomorrow
  • took a 30 minute power nap
  • vacuumed the main floor and tidied up
  • emptied all trash and recycling
  • swept the porch and reconned the yard
  • the kids are picking up pizza from Costco
  • I'm waiting on a lady to come and pick up the swing set for her kids

Let to do:

  • hot shower and get in jammies, watch a movie and have a nice glass of Riesling

Have a lovely evening everyone!

A little sad - I couldn't replace my warmer but a gal here had a gorgeous Aspen one and I like it!

HOMEMADE CHALK PAINT IS FREAKING AWESOME!

I was leery of making it myself, but the Annie Sloan stuff is sooooo expensive.  Plus, I wanted a specific color.

The table is awesome.  I'm so happy with it.  I painted the bottom and stained and varnished the top of it.  Picked it up for $35 at an auction and it looks spectacular.

Dry Laquer, Dry!!  I want to put my nativity scene up for Christmas tomorrow.  And I have my Scentsy line-up chosen.  DH says I need to relax about the details.  :D

:)
