Pen
I was looking for a particular study out of the University of Washington that showed the ages at which most children best learn certain tasks related to reading. I could not find that, but while looking came across some other things that I thought might be helpful to people and so I am posting them here. It starts with a site that has explanations of dyslexia suitable to children understanding it--but also can be helpful for adults. basic explanation for kids https://faculty.washington.edu/chudler/dyslexia.html brain differences may be result, not cause http://explore.georgetown.edu/news/?ID=70686 spelling (and to some degree writing) related http://depts.washington.edu/nwst/issues/index.php?issueID=fall_2006&storyID=800 http://www.washington.edu/news/1999/10/04/dyslexic-children-use-nearly-five-times-the-brain-area/ general information, bibliography http://www.apa.org/research/action/reading.aspx
