Problems that you only face with asynchronous kids

I'm trying to prove DD10's student status to the third party processor that handles SSAR's membership and journal subscriptions. They want a website link listing her as a graduate student somewhere, or a validated student ID from this semester. I can get her mentor to send something, but I'd rather not bother her during finals week. I need to get it renewed so she's eligible for scholarships for this summer.

Sigh...every single member of the executive board of this organization KNOWS who she is.

Sometimes, I guess you've just gotta laugh???

Good thing I went into the community college testing center with DS (10 years) to make sure he was able to get his Accuplacer math test started.  I jumped in and helped him with the initial set-up, which was great because he would have been flummoxed by some of the questions.  His name, address and student ID number were easy to answer, but it was the demographic information he would have been puzzled about.  The test wanted to know if he'd scored higher than a C on his high school math classes, what his anxiety level was about taking the test, if he was eligible for financial assistance and free lunches, and whether he was, or was planning to be, a single parent

I know it's strange lol. DS faced those questions too and was telling me about it afterwards but you know, community colleges have different goals. Their goals would definitely be different from those of our advanced younger children.

Now that DS finally has his dot edu email address and student card, things are becoming easier for stuff like magazine subscriptions and software discounts. Just a little while more dmmetler! :grouphug:
