Spanish curriculum ?

The Fun Spanish from Brookdale House is what I used to get my precocious fourth grader started. The sentences are silly and fun, which really helped the vocab stick. If the 6th grader is too cool for silly it probably isn't a good choice.

Otherwise, Getting Started With Spanish gets good multi-age reviews.

I haven't found anything that would span that range. Song School Spanish is fun and light, but best for K-2nd. It's strictly introductory. Risas y Sonrisas claims to cover that range but it's such a mess I had to give up on it - and I usually find it great fun to rework curric to fit my needs. I have The Fun Spanish, but it's strictly for kids who can read and write comfortably in English, so I had to shelve it for my non-writer. I've heard good things about Galore Park's So You Really Want To Learn Spanish, but it would also require reading and writing and I've seen it recommended more for grades 4+.

Maybe break your kids into two groups? The youngers with something like Salsa Spanish or Song School Soanish to have an introduction, and the olders with something that includes reading and writing?
