Fortunately, the Milk

Recommended Posts

Sorry to be so brief. I'm on my phone & I really dislike using the internet on my phone. It's too cumbersome. I think it's categorized as an illustrated children's novel, but it's very short. I read it aloud during a road trip. I read it straight through, only pausing to giggle & pass the book around so everyone could see the pictures. We are 40-somethings with 10 & 11 yr old kids. It was so much fun! They could have easily read it themselves, it's a very simple reading level, but the story just begs to be read out loud. I'm glad I picked it.

I just had to share ~ I just read this aloud to my husband & kids while we are driving to visit family for Thanksgiving.

It is GREAT!

It's short, funny, & beautifully illustrated. We laughed & laughed!

Highly recommend!!

We read it this summer. My kids loved it! Hilarious!!!

After one listen it was put on our family's list of "audio books we must listen to on a long road trip"  We also have Odd and the Frost Giants by Gaiman (which I adore) and "The Graveyard Book" which is my personal favorite.

We also sing along with all the songs from Doctor Horrible's Singalong Blog, just in case you were worried it was all Gaiman all the time.

I am convinced "Fortunately the milk" is one of his rejected Doctor Who scripts. He has written several so this might have been a practice run.
