provenance61
Our son is 12, almost 13. He's a good kid, very smart, but entered puberty last year and -- oh my. He is developing a lot of curiousity and an interest in some not so good things. And the worst of it is very recent, he got from listening to two older boys talking at a Boy Scout meeting of all things. When they were goofing around and not busy. Things beyond just a basic interest in sex. So obviously we have a lot to work on here. I would like to find some books we can go through together which talk about puberty in boys and its' challenges. How to approach growing up and becoming interested in girls, but in a healthy manner. And some which also tackle issues of how to develop maturity and a sense of right/wrong. And how to deal with temptations. I do want to approach this from a Christian perspective, too -- but would like books both Christian and secular. Please can anyone help us find a place to start? KrissiK
Dh has been going through "Preparing for Adolescence" by Dobson with our 11 year old DS and has found it to be well done.
