Guest cms7352
I was wondering if anyone has experience with Seton Homeschool? I am thinking about it just because it seems super easy.
quietchapel
We had a horrible experience using Seton. Seton as a company is wonderful: great customer service, counselors are fantastic. The program itself was miserable for us.
LLMom
I used it for 3 years when I didn't have time to make lesson plans. It was wonderful. I love the Catholicity of it, the rigorous grammar, the detailed lesson plans, the customer service, the online videos/tests/lectures, and I love how they teach kids to write the standard paragraph. CherryBlossomMJ
We are using the full enrollment as protection from our local schools. It is not enough for my oldest. We were going to enroll as Kinder but went with First and the concepts are still extremely easy for her. We do it as a base but add the Literature and more from other things like Memoria Press Curriculum and Wayfarers Ancients. Specifically of Seton I do love their English, History, Religion, and Math text. I think the science is too bland and the others are fine but not my favorite. Ellie
We are using the full enrollment as protection from our local schools. So, you're complying with TN law by enrolling your dc in a church-related school?
CherryBlossomMJ
No, Seton is in Option 3, an accredited online school.
Ellie
No, Seton is in Option 3, an accredited online school. But my point was that you said you were "using the full enrollment as protection from our local schools," which is a really odd way of phrasing the fact that you were complying with your state law (and that's actually Option 5, enrolling in a distance-learning program of an accredited private school). I thought it would be helpful for newbie homeschoolers if that was clarified.
