lea_lpz
My k'er does about 45 minutes of seat work and 45 minutes of activities and me reading to him. My 2nd grader does about an hour of independent work, about half hour of me reading to her and about 30-60 minutes of me working one on one with her, and will usually do the k activity time just for kicks, which is about 15-30 minutes, so on average 2-3 hours total. Does this sound about right?
Erica in OR
That matches up pretty well with what we did at those grade levels. Erica in OR
Tawlas
My Ker and I spend about a 1/2 hour one-on-one and he sits in on memory work, science and some history, FLL, WWE as interested. My 2nd grader does 60-90 minutes of seatwork, plus memory work, science, and FLL & WWE daily. Maybe 2-2 1/2 hours total? History and geography on Saturdays for about 2 hours as well. rocassie
That's about how it looks in my house, unless the 2nd grader isn't cooperative. Your time sounds reasonable.
