housemouse
When I ask what do they do after they are done, I don't mean curricular activities like sports, dance, scouts etc... I am asking along the likes of activities they do at home--crafts, electronics kids, building or cooking something just because it is fun... things like that. I need some ideas for boys and girls 7-13 age range to keep mine busy. Thank you in advance.
mom2bee
Around that stage, kids begin to entertain themselves so I wouldn't worry about it much. They'll play (or make then play) board games, read, write, draw, tell stories, build something, etc... Do they have supplies on hand for generic type crafts? Do they have toys? Do they have a library (in the home) that they can select from?

Chrysalis Academy
Two words: Breyer horses! My kids have a bunch of these, and riders, and they have created their own tack, and barns and stables and paddocks out of cardboard, duct tape, and stuff they find around the house and yard. they spend hours with their horses! That, and reading, and being outside playing their little make-believe games. They still play gleefully, My older is much better at entertaining herself with elaborate creation projects, my younger will ask for screen time. I have to kick her outside, and she figures it out. Pronghorn
Mine writes fan fiction, although perhaps yours are a bit young for that. She also draws a lot, chats on the computer, writes/arranges songs, reads manga, watches educational videos. This time of year sometimes you can get kids involved in writing and producing holiday plays, including producing programs and tickets and such. Another creative activity is making a museum around some theme.
LibraryLover
My kids were big on fantasy play, and spent long periods of time in the sand pit making potions, houses from sticks and branches for 'creatures', playmobil, Breyer Horses, Shleich Faries etc, parquetry blocks ( they made some really wonderful transient art over the years), made their own board games, wrote plays and stories, made Lego movies on the ipad and ipod, lots of art, much baking, and a stint of empanada experimentation, and one dc glommed onto Depression Cooking with Clara (youtube). There were also periods of serious knitting (including my ds), and some sewing. Also, lots of time spent reading or listening to audiobooks.
