Guest lenrely
Adapted from my original college thesis, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4d-_snZVTYo Interested in feedback.
Reefgazer
Only watched the first episode, but this was interesting. Some spot-on observations, too.
Alessandra
Error message when I tried to view on iPad. You did ask for feedback, lol.
Guest lenrely
Sorry you had trouble. Antiacademic isn't a common word, in a search my stuff should come up first.
IsabelC
Could you post your abstract? It's easier for me to read stuff than view/listen, but I'd be interested to get an idea what it's about.
SparklyUnicorn
I too would prefer something to read.
SparklyUnicorn
Ok so I watched the first one. I'd still like to read it if you have it in writing. I can read faster than you can talk. My time is limited because I've got so much going on. My thoughts? Well if you gather up the other crazy thinkers I'll go with you guys to a new planet. LOL I think it's spot on. I'll try to listen to more later.
Guest lenrely
The answer to your question is I'm somewhat of an anachronist, most videos like this one are done with powerpoint graphics which makes mine rather primitive, however converting to spoken word is something writers are being forced to do presumably because there is much more of a following to be had that way. I'm admittedly very late in getting on this bandwagon. More acolytes and collaborations are inspired by speaking for which a great deal of memorization and relatively fast talk is required, so my goal is to enhance articles like this one with things like enunciation, eye contact etc. (I was looking for footage of a local debate and the only one was posted by a writer who went a different route by "filming" a still shot of the candidates with background music to promote his written article typed into the comments section.) If I had to choose one abstract it would be that there is as much TO antiacademics as there is to academics, people just aren't exposed to the subject. Since each of my chapters is topical (i.e. "The Source of Student Violence" which is coming next), I think you could click on a subject that interests you and not be long to wait. It will take time to reverse engineer a written paper (in my original I made no references to myself for objectivity), but I'm willing to post on request if responses can be taken to youtube or email. I didn't foresee requests for print given the nature of youtube nor do I imagine I'll be revisiting every board like this one, so I hope I've answered you thoroughly. IsabelC
Interesting. You seem to be saying a lot of stuff I agree with, but presenting it from a slightly different perspective. Where are you going with this? Are you planning on expanding it to make a book?
Guest lenrely
Books on this subject are not published, I had to go viral. Dialectica please ask whatever questions you wish in PM, youtube or right here.
