amyinva
A dear friend's daughter, my daughters best friend, just broke her foot. She is 7. I am looking for fun non-messy, non-food items for a care package for her. I have books and activity books, but what else might she enjoy? Her parents are in the middle of a huge house project, and it would be great to have a bunch of goodies to keep her entertained. Thank you! Um_2_4
Some sort of art project she could do while seated? Klutz has some, knitting, fashion design, maybe something a bit different than beads. One of those small sticker machines. I think Alex toys makes it. Micheal's or JoAnn's might be a place to look locally. For activity books, how about how to draw books and a sketch pad. JoAnn had some for $1-$3 (small sketch pads and how to draw books).
KatieJ
Does she have one of those looms that kids are making brace.ets on. How about play doh or silly putty.

wendy not in HI
Perler beads were a HUGE hit around here at about 7 years old. You could look for a holiday set and she could make ornaments for their tree. Other ornaments with beads and pipe cleaners could be fun. Simple origami is also fun! Puppets? Does she have a rubber band loom? Maybe a few individual socks in fun colors and designs for the unbroken foot? Poor thing! I hope she feels better soon! edited to fix a link...hopefully... Kareni
A dot to dot book. A set of coloring pencils and a pad of paper or coloring book. A book to read or a children's magazine. A jigsaw puzzle. Regards, Kareni
Seasider
If she has a signing-worthy cast, a pack of bright colorful Sharpie markers. Maybe some fun toenail polish.
happi duck
Real mail is fun...in addition to a gift you could mail her something every day for a couple weeks...like a coloring page, a word search and some jokes each day. These could be pulled from a book or printed online.
