Lynn in Caribbean
I know someone already mentioned this below, but I thought it was worth pointing out again... hitting "submit" that first time on the guidance counselor part does not permanently lock it in - yet! First the Common App shows you a PDF, with everything you did (transcript, counselor letter, etc. etc.) all rolled into one long nice document. So, you get one more shot to look over everything, and see how it all comes together and is presented to the colleges. From there, you can either go into the permanent submission process, OR go back and work on it some more. This was a useful step for me, to "see how it all looks." For example, you know the place where it asks you to enter adjectives to describe your child? When you look at the PDF, those adjectives kind of stand out in their own little section. When I saw that, it made me go back and give that part bit more thought. So, just thought I would put out this reminder. I was terrified to hit "submit" on the guidance counselor portion, since once it's out there and done, you can't re-submit. It would have been helpful for me to realize that I could hit "submit" and view the PDF from time to time as I was working on all of this. regentrude
and remember to save that pdf! That way you can answer all the question next years parents will post on this board "What did you put in XX section of the Common App?"
