Mrs. Darinski
So I thought I would like to make a slow cooker chicken casserole tomorrow, but I want to use only what I have on hand. I would like to make it hearty and include vegetables as well as the chicken. I've already been looking through Pinterest and Google, as I am not a great cook and don't have a natural knack for throwing things together. My experiments don't always turn out so well. What I want to know is what combination of ingredients I have that you all think would go best together. Here's what I've got: boneless, skinless chicken thighs, a few cans of cream of chicken/cream of celery soup, milk, several boxes of stovetop stuffing, pasta, spices, cheese, spaghetti sauce, hash browns, bacon, a potato, a sweet potato, frozen mixed vegetables, frozen green beans, frozen corn, and fresh celery. So! What do you think? :001_smile:
zoobie
My mom used to make one similar to this in the oven, and it was delicious: http://thefrugalgirls.com/2013/09/crockpot-stove-top-chicken.html I'd do that and serve steamed green beans on the side rather than trying to casserole them up too. :)
