Who's going to tackle Thursday with me?

Today is Coop all day and I have woken up at 4am.....I may be too tired when I get home, BUT.......

This weekend my goal is to PURGE.  I may have some energy to start today.

My kitchen is literally in boxes all over the dining room and living room.  (we are renovating)

I am vowing to only put back 50% of the contents!  The other 50% needs to either be trashed, taken to Goodwill, or listed to sell.

Thankfully this weekend is somewhat less busy than most, so I can do this!

If I have time, I would also like to start purging the master bedroom......Dh has SO MANY CLOTHES!  I am sick of looking at them, I swear I am about to start dealing with them myself if he doesn't start!

I'm home with a cold today, so I'm not tackling much to be honest.  Going through older newspapers and paying bills might be my limit.

I am, however, reading more threads than when I'm working!

And I'm still a cat servant.  The cat came up to my face (in bed) as soon as I was 10 minutes late getting up this morning.  Apparently my thought that I could sleep in until 5:30 or 6:00am is simply unacceptable.  4:40am was bad enough for her.  :glare:  I suppose if I had overslept on a work day I'd be appreciative.

I had a hard time getting out of bed this morning--I was so warm and cozy in the flannel sheets! But alas...

--school w dd (chem, math, history, APHG)

--exercise

--take her for new pointe shoes after Arabic class (she thinks she needs a sizing fitting or a harder shank)

--house things

--schedule all the kids into their events for the science fun festival (this will take several hours :()

--begin emailing event rules to the registered kids

--try to find substitutes for volunteers who have cancelled (I was so angry last night...)

--dh Mandarin class, dd ballet (he drives on Thursdays--yay!)

I would really like to find the time to do some gardening but (1) everything is soaked and (2) there is no extra daylight time today. Maybe tomorrow :)

Have a good day!

Good morning! Today is dd1's day off from am practice, so we have a relaxed start to the day. Dh is home for a bit, he has a conference (or seminar?) downtown later. I read the paper and have a bit of coffee left, so I will read the boards until it is gone. A good night's sleep makes me more energetic for tackling.

To do:

things for judo

things for the other sport that has taken over our lives

clean some bathrooms

oversee chores

oh, and school for kids

clean kitchen/downstairs

figure out something for dinner (sigh)

PM practice

judo pickup

Have a great day!

Morning all!  We're at my parents' house today doing school which is always enjoyable.  The best part about today is that my dad said since we're here Thursdays and Fridays I should just leave the kids here for an overnight every Thursday and just come back in the morning!  This is awesome!  I will now have almost every Thursday evening to myself for the rest of this school year if I want!   My parents are awesome! Not sure if that means tonight or not but I will find out soon so I can plan a very productive evening.  As of right now getting school done is the only thing I have planned.

Good morning.  I hope you all have a good day.  Creek, we shut our cat in the schoolroom so that he has to wait for us to wake up!  He expects to be tucked into bed at night though and will wander around yowling at 10 pm until we do so.

I am on the brink of a flare.  I'm trying not to tip over the edge into one.

Jean - hope you can avoid the flare!  And next time I want to sleep in a little bit the cat will find herself sleeping outside.  She's an indoor/outdoor cat, so can handle it just fine.  Sometimes she does this voluntarily anyway.

Lizzie - I hope your tests go well.  And that your oldest has less (or no) pain.

I am actually feeling better for the most part.  My voice still isn't "there" so teaching still wasn't a good idea and breathing is still hurting when I'm sitting down, but otherwise, cold meds are kicking in nicely and I think I'm over the worst anyway.

I went outside and got critter chores done, did dishes, and ate a pear I picked off our tree.  They are almost gone now, but I found six other nice ones to bring inside for meals.

Soon I'll start cutting up peppers to freeze for winter sauces, etc.

I am a bit bummed regarding news I heard about a co-worker/friend:

http://forums.welltrainedmind.com/topic/531841-a-combo-of-seize-the-day-dont-sweat-the-small-stuff/

so that's on my mind a bit, but it did get me up and out doing things today instead of feeling sorry for myself over a little cold... so more will get tackled than otherwise.  I have the house to myself as hubby's out for his job today.

So Far:

Work on scraping bathroom ceiling

Call DH and update him on the status

Call my cousin to see if he wants to tackle the project

Cousin says yes

I rejoice, and go take a shower. It's a messy, nasty job and he is a drywall guy. Win, win in my book!

Clean the upstairs bathroom

Try to get the girls to clean their room. They are 1/3 done. They actually kept saying "can we stop and do school"

Vacuum the entryway, stairs and livingroom.

Switch laundry (ok, so I delegated that one)

Up Next:

Fold laundry

Lunch

Clean downstairs bathroom

Get the girls to clean more

Math/English

A chapter from our read aloud

put clothes away in my room

Start working on AWANA verses for next week.

Figure out what supper is going to be

Good Afternoon!  :seeya:

Yesterday was a bad day for me...as the day progressed I felt worse and worse.  Nothing got done.

Today however I feel like a rockstar!  :D

Accomplished so far:

  • all three floors vacuumed, dusted and mopped
  • all bathrooms cleaned x 4
  • cleaned out the refrigerator
  • cleaned the kitchen
  • prepped everything for dinner
  • ds has did his music practice, a test, studied and is in his online class right now.

To finish:

  • cook and serve dinner and clean up from dinner
  • laundry-1 load of each
  • And the most important...school --algebra and geometry
  • hit the hay early and read

My children are having an overnight at my parents' and my dh is working till at least 9:30!!! That means I have 3 hours to do whatever I want!  Since are house will officially become a construction zone next week I'm going to one final major de-cluttering of all the bedrooms and closets tonight!

The absolute best thing is that my parents want them to have an overnight every Thursday until the baby comes in Feb! I'm going to have so much time to work on our house entirely by myself!  My bathrooms are going to get finished so much faster now that I have a dedicated night to work on them
