BrandonMommy
Hi, I need to order Singapore math books ASAP . . . which edition do you use (standards edition or . . .)? And which books other than the textbook and workbook (intensive practice, extra practice, etc)?? Thanks!
MotherGoose
I use standards and you DEFINITELY need the Home Instructor's Guide.
craftyerin
I have my twins in 1A. I have the US edition, HIG + textbook + workbook.
Coco_Clark
I used Standards, it had better review (IMO). You will want textbook, workbook, and Home Instructors Guide. If you want to beef up (advanced kid, bored kid, big math goals, ect) you can add or replace the workbook with the Challenging Word Problems and/or Intensive Practice. If you need to slow down (non mathy kid, having a hard time with a concept, just in general needs more practice, ect) you can add the Extra Practice book. BrandonMommy
Thanks everyone. Coco, I don't see Intensive Practice for the standards edition (I'm looking on RR). I see it for the US edition. Is that the same one you're refering to? It can be used with the Standards with no problem?
Crimson Wife
I use the IP for US ed. with the textbook for Stds. ed. and it's fine. Not every topic in the SE will have a corresponding unit in that level of IP, but overall it works out.
Staceyshoe
We used Standards Edition of the textbook, workbook, and IP. I really love their Challenging Word Problems, but it wasn't a fit for my kiddo (due to language/learning issues).
BrandonMommy
Thanks. I ordered the textbook, workbook, Intensive Practice and HIG. Really glad I ordered the HIG!
