Jean in Newcastle
OK - I know they don't but are there any dishwasher models out there that are durable like the Speed Queen washing machine and made with mechanical parts that won't wear out like all these wimpy computerized components? trulycrabby
I asked the same thing to myself a few weeks ago when I was dishwasher shopping. Unfortunately not, but according to the hive, Bosch is the Speed Queen of dishwashers. I am inordinately pleased with mine; it cleans everything beautifully and quietly. It is computerized though, so perhaps it's not what you are looking for. If one exists, though, the hive will know about it. :)
Guest
My dishwasher repairman(who was fixing my Asko for the third time) said he hardly ever works on a Miele or a Bosch. We loved the Miele we got. Super clean dishes, super quiet and easy to load.
Reefgazer
Good info. Our dishwasher is on its last legs and I've been wondering the same thing.
Moxie
We're going to look this weekend because Lowe's is having a sale. We're gutting our kitchen in the next 5 years. I can't decide if I should spend $300 and hope it lasts until the remodel or spend $1000 and hope it lasts over 10 years.
