linders
Apparently, former homeschool teachers are relegated to mod podging. Does anyone else remember that from the 70's? Tonight, moments after he went to bed, DS14 remembered that he owed "a rock emblazoned with inspirational messages" in his weekly leadership class tomorrow. The assignment was given two weeks ago. He hadn't even looked for a rock. He trudged out into our woods with a flashlight searching for a rock. Then he grabbed an old magazine to look for inspirational words. Everyday With Rachel Ray really isn't the place to look. I hunted up some of his USA Swimming magazines for word sources. He cut out words. He glued. But it was now late, he has a bad cold, so I sent him to bed and promised I would mod podge. Mod podging is a skill he mastered long ago. I'm not enabling, am I? lmrich
As long as you will always be there to finish a modpodge project in the future.
kiwik
Yes you are. I may do the same but I hope not.
Grover
modge away.. sometime they need little helping hand. At least he did the rest of it, and presumably without too much moaning. Just be sure to tell him you'll use the rock for another purpose if he leaves it this late again.
Melinda in VT
I wouldn't have done it for him. Of course, I also have no skill with crafts of any kind. :-)
kiwik
Come to think of it I grew up in the 70's and I have no idea what modpodge is. It sounds a bit like paper Mache?
Greenmama2
I think it is more like decoupage Kiwik. Modge Podge is a kind of glue over there.

Tanikit
He is learning that his mother will be there to help him - maybe not forever, but its good to have someone around - we are not in this world all alone - you are allowed to modge podge to your hearts content and not feel guilty about it. He will learn consequences for leaving things late at some point in life - it doesn't have to be today.
