madteaparty
We just started the prealgebra program and like it well enough except for the issue of calculator use. Already in the first lesson it comes up. It was easy enough to ignore then. For various reasons, we don't intend to use a calculator at all for a long while. Does it become an issue later on in the program, or does it continue to be easy to ignore? Very many thanks.
dauphin
Ooh we were just about to start, that would be quite the temptation for DD's lazy side...
madteaparty
Ooh we were just about to start, that would be quite the temptation for DD's lazy side... I told DS to just ignore that...We have very little going for us, but we do have compliance (still)...;)
dauphin
I'm curious how it looks/plays out. I could see DD going, "but I HAVE to use it, the class says so, see!" :banghead:
Chanley
My daughter is using the Algebra 1 course and does not use a calculator.
madteaparty
Thank you Chanley. It appears less of a problem than I initially thought--class 2 used none.
