Cheryl in CA
For those of you who have completed the Dancing Bears series, did you use anything after it? Neither of the children with which I'm using it are dyslexic, though one has expressive language delays. If you used something after it, what did you use? Was it similar in approach to DB? I'm just curious what others have done :)
JenneinCA
I didn't use anything after we finished. He was a reading well enough that I could hand him a book and he was good to go. We did continue with All About Spelling for a while but then jumped to Spelling Power and eventually dropped even that when his spelling was several levels above grade level and he complained about spelling becaus it was 'busy work'. LaughingCat
I used Rewards Secondary with my DD after DB C.

LaughingCat
I had no time to post more previously - but just wanted to add that I only picked Rewards Secondary because I found a good deal on it. I think Rewards Intermediate would work as well. It does have some similarities to DB in that it is not a lot of rules (you learn a strategy and apply it over and over) but a different premise (splitting words into word sounds, prefixes & suffixes)
