Time4Learning? Yes/No (K/3/6)

Alright, so due to budgetary constraints, I haven't ordered all of my curriculua for next year.  While I can get by on a few things, there are some glaring holes I'd like to fill.  Kindergarten (I have almost nothing useful), Third Grade (mainly science, although some supplemental use in math/LA would be good), and 6th grade (middle school earth/space science, some supplemental in LA, and possibly some history).  I'm also looking into the Geography program for high school, but I don't want to pay $30/month for one course (and I have everything else).  I've heard that the science and history is dry...and there is a LOT of reading.  We have tablets, so they could read anywhere...just curious about what the Hive thinks.  Thanks.

Son 2 just completed ALL the middle school T4L science classes. He loved them but he loves any science. We found the high school courses have a TON of writing--- more than an average human can handle in a day. I would pick and choose from those. The material covers what you need. I think it would be fine as you intend to use it.

We used T4L quite a few years ago for one of the kids (at maybe 2nd or 3rd grade?). I don't remember being either disappointed or super impressed, and the same goes for DD, no strong feelings either way. Then, just a few years ago I was looking into it again, and I do remember coming to the conclusion that there was a lot of variance--some lessons were colorful, fun, animated, etc. and some were just a bunch of reading. In my opinion, if they are going to do just a bunch of reading, I prefer it to be from books, not a screen. I think I was looking into it mainly for mid- to upper elementary social studies, and I believe that's where most of the "just reading on screen" lessons were, so I didn't go with it. It could have changed by now, I don't know.
