Guest Bles5ed
Just had my 10-year-old assessed and he has significant learning disabilities. Developmental Pediatrician suggested the Mastery of Learning program. I realize this is a model/philosophy, but does anyone know of established curriculum with this approach? Thanks. OneStepAtATime
I don't know if you will come back but wanted to welcome you to the LC board. I guess no one has used this system, but you are welcome here. Best wishes.
Heathermomster
I have never heard of the expression; however, when I read the definition of "mastery learning program", it sounds like teaching using direct, explicit, and multi-sensory methods. If that is what the tester meant, then yes, many of us teach that way whenever, wherever possible. Barton Reading and Spelling is one example of a curriculum written in that format.
