XP: new Online Engineering Academy

Recommended Posts

I met the Director at a local conference and I am SO excited about what they are offering. DD won't be doing it this year but I am hoping we can next year.  FOUR FULL YEARS of courses available, taught by a Ph.D. engineer who is also a high school teacher.

http://www.theonlineengineeringacademy.com/.aspx

Registration ends September 5th.

I have additional info that they sent me that I can forward to you, if you check out their website and want more details (the website is still sorta bare-bones). Or you can contact this guy:

George Blanks, Ed.D.

Director of K-12 Engineering Outreach

Samuel Ginn College of Engineering

Auburn University (AL)

blankgw@auburn.edu

(in the cover letter he sent, he says he's a former homeschooling parent and he says he also continues to work with homeschoolers through the BEST robotics program)

p.s., I'm not sure where to post this, I know some K-8 people might be interested, logic stage, accelerated learners, AND high school. So...um, I hope it's not taboo to XP all 4???

Thank you so much for posting about this.  I am probably signing my son up.
