tuesdayschild
Wondering if anyone would like to help us idea collect again? We'd really appreciate some suggestions for Early Modern Times (1600-1850 AD), and Early Modern Lit to consider for ds 15+ and dd 13+ The dc and I think we have the history spines sorted, maybe, literature and lit guides are still pretty up in the air. Any suggestions appreciated - rigorous and lighter options both welcomed. (we have until Dec 2014 to nail our choices down) TIA

tuesdayschild
Someone suggested we come back and post what we've selected out for our 15 year old son to read alongside his study of Late Renaissance & Early Modern Times history… it may cause classical purists to weep :tongue_smilie: . Not all our selections were written during 1600-1850 – some are more modern works, and other books are just easy reading to break up the pace a bit. We’re in NZ so we’ve chosen what will work for us and our high schooling pathway.
