Guest TauniSue
I have an e-reader with a 6" screen that I would like to use as much as possible for school books. I like that the Story of the World is in Kindle format, but I'm wondering if the PDF teacher books for First Language Lessons are practical at this size. I'm thankful for any opinions based on personal experience!
Hunter
I do not like pdfs on an ereader. I view them on my phone, before an ereader, if I have to.
MeaganS
I agree with Hunter. They are very tricky on an ereader. I'd use an iPad, computer, tablet, or phone (in that order) before an ereader. It can be done, but not very easily. I use a lot of pdfs but I put them on my iPad or just use my computer.

If you first view the entire lesson on the computer, then it is possible to refer to it on the e-reader during the actual lesson. Seeing it first on the big screen and being able to view & scroll around allows me to get a mental picture of the lesson from start to finish. Then, during the actual lesson, even though I see only a few lines at a time on the Kindle, I still know what's coming next.
alisoncooks
I have OPGTR pdf on my Kindle and it's a disaster. Seriously. I've had better luck on my iPad.
kiwik
I have the WWE1 workbook on my kindle and it is fine although the formatting is slightly off in parts. I did the email the pdf to my kindle address option. I also have FLL1 which was OK where I used it. I haven't tried anything else yet. JDoe
One reader capable to do PDFs is the Onyx Boox M92. Bit expensive though.
EmilyGF
I'm OK with some PDFs on my Kindle paperwhite, but not thrilled. I will try FLL next year, though! An e-reader is *so* much less distracting than a computer or iPad! I wouldn't buy a PDF unless I knew I would be willing to read it somewhere else if it didn't show up well on the Kindle. vaquitita
I have done teachers manual PDFs ok on my ipad. I do not think they would work well on my nook. The b&w I see Sam books are ok on the nook, because the writing is large and not that much of it.
