Sunday- 1.5 mile walk at almost normal pace.

Monday- 1.5 mile walk.  PT exercises.

For you women that love elliptical machines:  I've noticed that my legs have changed shape a bit since my injury has kept me from doing my morning conditioning on the elliptical machine.  I think it really tones and elongates the outsides of my thighs even more than street running does.

After taking a little break due to my period and then a very busy weekend, I got 60 mins of TA in today. I used light weights for the arm section because I hadn't done it in a week, but I found the weighted section to be very doable. The butt section was harder though. Holding myself on all fours for just those 15 mins is a real challenge. I can prob do all the leg work, but my arms and core get tired from the position. At least I am pretty sure that is the bigger challenge for me. There are a few sections where I should be feeling a burn, but I don't so weights are in order. But, I am struggling with form. So, I will order some light leg weights and just do fewer reps with good form? I think that might be my challenge for the month.

I feel like after doing this workout for 2 weeks I am starting to see some changes in my abs and butt. Only I would notice though, lol

Missed some of last week on the thread due to computer issues.

Fri I ran 3 miles, but then missed my long run Sat because my period was killing me.

Yesterday morning I did 3 miles and then last night I met my friend at Planet Fitness for 2 miles of walking and the 30 minute weights circuit.

Today will be pilates and painting my hallway/kitchen.

ETA: pilates done.

If any of you runners are looking for a good supplement, Tarbell's "Pilates for Runners" is killer, without the "aura of holiness" surrounding lots of pilates videos.

I'm tired again. so stinking tired of that. I got more iron pills hopefully that fixes it, soon. I expect this week will be light, yesterday all I did was MuTu core, Sunday was core and walk, same planned for today.

Don't know if you want to try it, but I take blackstrap molasses for this.  It has lots of natural iron, as well as a number of other vitamins and minerals.  If you decides to try it, make sure to get unsulphered (sulpher can act as a blood thinner and complicate menstrual issues).

I used to use molasses in my oatmeal for this reason, but I stopped and I'm unsure why.  When cool weather comes back around I will have to get in the habit again.

I ran 3 miles today.  I did a kettlebell workout yesterday using a DVD.  I hadn't done that in a while, and I can feel it today.  I am sore (in a good way) all over.  I had been increasing my miles, so I decreased kettlebell, but I need it.  Once my miles got up to 30 (I had been increasing slowly) my Achilles started acting up again.  So I'm running short this week, doing eccentric heal lifts after my run, and doing kettlebell.  Today was just swings, since I did a WO yesterday.

I take it in my coffee in the morning.  It's the only thing I've found strong enough to stand up to the taste.

I walked a mile yesterday, and swam for 40ish minutes.  (I was in the pool longer than that.  I got out because it was getting dark.)

did yoga today, and have walked 2/3's mile so far.  and plan on at least another 1/3 or 2/3.  (I walk up and down my hill several times to get my "steps" in.)

I need more than I could reasonably get from molasses, I was really low. It would be a good supplement though and a nice addition to the diet once my levels are up enough to help them stay up.

I'm feeling better than I was. I'm supposed to go to the Yoga class tonight (1hr), getting ready to do MuTu Core. Probably won't try to do intensives today as I don't know when I'll have time and I want to save my energy for Yoga. Hopefully I'll feel back up to normal within a few days. Last 2 nights my sleep hasn't been great, ironically I still yet felt better yesterday than I had the previous days with more sleep.

Ran my little knickers off this morning. Some days you just have to admit you are addicted and go with it.

*funny aside-my 18 yo got up to go run this morning. He was doing his whole carbs/water process while I downed a 3rd cup of coffee. We were talking about "body fuel". He compared himself to a Ferrari and me to a Pick up truck. I ask you, which is more useful? :-)

I haven't checked in.  I lifted on Monday, walked on Tuesday (and did Just Dance with my kids - does that count?) and today is a lift day.

I will be lifting during a fast and though I have heard of others doing this very successfully I don't have personal experience with it.  We'll see how it goes :D

I have extremely low iron- and was put on a prescription a year ago.  Do some research about when and how to take it.  For instance if you take it within 2 hours of caffeine or chocolate your absorption of the iron is significantly impaired. Same with taking it with dairy and a few other foods.

I take mine on an empty stomach before bed with 1/2 squeezed lemon in plain water.  That upsets some people's stomachs but it was a lot of trial and error before I figured out a what worked for me.  When I'm on my period I double up and take liquid iron (I buy at Whole Foods) in the a.m. and the prescription at night

I also eat a diet rich in dark greens and other iron rich foods- but that was never enough.

LOL, well if it works for you then that's great :)

I did a 90 minute vinyasa flow today.  I haven't been able to do a yoga practice for almost 2 weeks, and it felt so good.

I bet your body appreciated it.

Good luck!

I have researched some. I try to have mine with vit C and have to time it around my thyroid meds. I hadn't thought about doing it at night. I just got my results back and I've raised it 30 pts in 2 months so I think it is going pretty well. I've actually never had an issue with iron until lately, I'm not sure if that is due to gluten exposure I had in the fall or just the hashimotos or a combo but hopefully it will stay up.

So no exercise yesterday due to a houseful of kids who weren't all mine.

Today I tried a 30 min fitness blender cardio workout. It was ok, sort of boring but fine. I am not wanting to do it again, lol. I will keep poking around FB until I find something that strikes my fancy.

I am hoping tomorrow to get 60 mins of TA in the afternoon.

Next week, son the younger returns to afternoon theater camp so I will have a guaranteed time for exercise for 2 weeks!

Thanks, I will.  I love a challenge. I whinge about it, but in truth I like it more than a quieter workout, lol.

Hey, we should share fave youtube exercise channels or videos.

This is my most favorite, but I have to admit I haven't used it in about a year, so it might be different now. I can only do this when NO ONE is home but meeee!

I like the videos by Caitlin the best, but I haven't thoroughly explored the new ones, so YMMV

I'm not on MFP. I do use my daily plate from time to time.

I oly did my tummy work last night. I skipped yoga class. In the end I think it was the right thing to do as even with not going I was busy cooking and cleaning up until nearly 8, yesterday was ds' birthday and he requested pizza- so making safe and yummy varieties for everyone took a while but it was well enjoyed. Feeling better today, had a decent night's sleep. I'm making no promises about what I'm doing today other than core. I guess this week is my rest week, next week will be better. I'm definitely feeling better than I did at the beginning of the week, just not up to where I was.

Good morning ladies!  Still no word from Negin, I hope she is ok.

Me too, I'm worried about her!

Charleigh have fun with the crap slinging today!   Sorry, I couldn't resist.

LOL!

I wanna do some hip hop cardio too.    That looks like fun.

At the girl's dance studio they have an acrobatics class- I told her I want one of those for adults. The other moms want to learn ballet, phooey on that, I'm long past the age of wanting to be a ballerina but acrobatics, that sounds like fun. Dd1 is doing hip hop and it's cute to watch her.

Today, skillwork, MA.

I spent most of yesterday painting our kitchen and hallway.  This morning my body feels tired and sore.  I think it's time for a rest day.  I'll just do a little stretching and foam rolling.  All I had planned for today was an easy yoga day anyway.

3 mile run this morning.  I'm enjoying the cool weather; the newspaper says it won't last.  After my run I did the Kettlebutts WO from Kettlebody DVD.  Single-leg deadlifts, swings, lunges and snatches.  I'm still feeling sore from Monday's kettlebell WO, but I'm determined to get back to my strength work.  I'm also trying to throw in my pull-ups today.

An acrobatics class sounds scary, but better than ballet.  I've never had the grace for ballet.  I'll stick to swinging heavy cast iron bells. :)

Yesterday, I walked/jogged for about 35 min. Logged just over 10, 000 steps total on Fitbit, but I had forgotten to put it on until lunchtime. Still, I was pretty inactive except for that 35 min stint. I had to do a lot of sit-down work yesterday. Need to figure out a way around that. (I'm trying to get up and move every so often.)

I've never been graceful either!

At the rockclimbing gym I like they have aerial acrobatics classes, they use silks that hang from the (very high) ceiling. I would LOVE to try that out, although it does sound scary, too bad it is 2 hrs+ away.

I got a walk in yesterday. I finally had a pretty good day but I spent most of it preparing the house for ds' party tonight, my legs were dead by the end of the day. Today I'm hoping to get a short walk and core work done but my list is even longer, so we'll see how the time goes. I'm feeling about back to normal again, so thankfully my crash wasn't too long this time. So, it seems I'm getting better. I just have to go slower than I want to go at times. It will sure be nice when I don't have to worry about crashes anymore and all days are good days. Maybe in another 3 months. So, I'm going to try and pull it back a bit. I need to think as to what would be good to do.

Snickerdoodle, I'm sorry but your avatar has to go. I can NOT look at it and keep myself from buying those damn delicious little devils. And I have to get the gf version so double whammy, one on my butt and one on my budget.

Potato chips are my poison.  ;)  LOL   I just think cookies are pretty..

This is why we should have a WTM Mom's group class for the circus arts.   We can all let our inner spastics out.  I mean,   *I* can let me crazy spastic self let loose...  :D

This is the thing, right?   Trying to build in 5 or so minutes of movement for every so much of sit down work.

I took a bike ride to do the cross training thing. I went about 10 miles.

Fun!  Did you take the kids with you?

It's always best to listen to the body.  I think for us the most important thing, more important than diet and exercise, is sleep.    I remember way back when I used to wake up early to exercise.  How dumb is that for a life-long insomniac?   LOL

Today is last day of hell week and then next week is active recovery.  WOOT!

Wednesday- mostly rest day.

Thursday- wonderful/brutal PT session.  I love my guy:)  Followed by a light core work out and then MMA class followed by my first ever kettle bell session with one of my fellow MMAers that also teaches kettle bell.  Very fun.  My glutes and hamstrings feel it today.  I think I might be in love with kettle bells.

Today- 3/4 mile morning walk.  I plan on a 3 mile walk with dh tonight.

I just read in Oxygen yesterday about the new trend workout called aerial yoga using silk bands from the ceiling. I'm guessing it's the same thing. Looked cool in the pictures, but I'd puke hanging upside down.
