achristean
Hi. Have any of you used Chester Comix? Can I use these comics all by themselves for American History? Or is it meant to be a supplemental curriculum?
Vida Winter
We use them as a fun supplement. Not nearly enough to use standalone but dd enjoys reading them.
BatmansWife
:iagree: I would use them as a fun supplement. We also have a set of graphic history books from Timberdoodle that are really nice.
Ewe Mama
My boys love the Chester Comix. When they have free reading time in between subjects, they head for the Chester Comix bookshelf before I tell them to pick a book. I would agree that they are definitely supplemental. The author did put together teacher's guides for most of the books. I think they are pdf downloads. If memory serves, they were free, so you might want to check his website. cintinative
FYI. I know this is an old thread but they are having a "sale" on these at the HS Buyers Co-op. https://www.homeschoolbuyersco-op.org/chester-comix/ It's not much but it is cheaper than buying each at face value or buying the bundle direct from Chester Comix.
