maize
I just watched this, made me want to get my kids practicing again: http://m.wimp.com/instrumentbrain/
Wildiris
Time to get back to practicing that piano.
maize
Music has fallen by the wayside recently because life was taken over by dance. Which I am sure also has brain benefits, maybe I should go looking for studies about that to make me feel better :D
myfunnybunch
That's a great video. I'm going to watch it with my boys. :)
duckens
I watched it with dd7. Thank you for sharing this!
IsabelC
Mr. 11 is making horrible sounds on his trombone and I am quite certain that, whatever benefits this has for his brain, it isn't doing my head any good.
Mothersweets
Fascinating! Thanks for posting this.
Angie in VA
Thank you! Sending this to dd who's a music ed major.
JoyfullyNoisy
Oh, I loved this! My DS 7 and DD 9 watched this with me. It was during DS' "practice time" -music is a big deal in our house, but sometimes after a big (summer vacation) break, it's hard to want to get back to practicing. DS promptly (and happily) sat down at the piano for his practice session after seeing this. Thanks for posting it.

LOL I've always thought the sounds produced by beginning brass students closely approximate the moan of a dying elephant :D I have a young trombonist over here as well. Angie in VA
LOL I've always thought the sounds produced by beginning brass students closely approximate the moan of a dying elephant :D I have a young trombonist over here as well. And a violinist who is just learning vibrato can mimic a dying cow very well!
IsabelC
Oh no! My little violinist isn't up to vibrato yet, and here I was thinking that was when they start to sound really good!

PeachyDoodle
Sigh. And OF COURSE dd has suddenly announced that she isn't at all interested in music and is demanding to drop her piano lesson. She hasn't touched the piano all summer. I was so hoping she would love to play as much as I did. :crying: Going to show this to her and see if it changes her mind... fingers crossed. Thanks for posting.
