flyingiguana
So I ate some of the recalled nectarines that had listeria contamination. About a week ago, I started having symptoms that might(?) be related. Mostly I've been spending a lot of time on the toilet (not to get into tmi). I've also had some muscle aches. I haven't run a fever. I figured I had some kind of stomach flu, but no one else in the family got it. Just me. And it's still going on, a week later. Do I need to worry about it getting worse? Or if it's gone on this long without anything bad developing, will things now sort themselves out and be ok? As usual, I won't go to the dr unless it's dire.... NicAnn
I would go to the dr. Because if it is listeria, it needs to be reported. I'm sorry you are sick!!
zoobie
Are you pregnant? If yes, go immediately!
flyingiguana
I'm not pregnant, or I'd be in there in a flash. Just kind of wondering if it's likely to go away on its own.
Catwoman
How are you feeling today? Honestly, if you're not better by Monday, I think you should go to the doctor, just to be safe.
Melissa in Australia
I thin Listeria is one of those things that can stay in your system for months before flaring up. I am not sure that there is anything that can be done about it though. I would go to the doctor so the case can be reported.
