Science Shepherd Life Science

I would like to hear from anyone who has used Science Shepherd Life Science.  Although the author holds to a YEC perspective I'm wondering what it might be like for someone from an OEC point of view.  My understanding is that in SS Life Science there is only 'one' chapter covering this topic.  So theoretically I could skip it.  But I would like to address creation/evolution as it does apply to this area of science.  

 

Lastly if you used it please indicate if you used the first or second edition.  According to the author, Scott Hardin, he has completely rewritten this section of his book.  I wrote him after reading a review which concerned me here: http://www.reasons.org/articles/review-science-shepherd.  In response he provided a rather detailed answer regarding his revised text in which he stated he attempted to address some of the issues brought forth in the review.

I will not be able to talk much about it until late August because we are on vacation for the entire summer, but I just found it for ten dollars on Amazon. I have been toying with the Science Sheppard series for a couple years now and the price was too good to pass by. I do not know if that is too far out to be helpful, but since it is still a relatively obscure selection for the boards, I'll let you know what I think when we return home.
