mathnerd
DS6 finished EPGY math upto 4th grade in April. Our subscription ended and I was not very impressed with it. So, I am looking at CTY online for the summer. Are there any courses there that are worth the money? Any recommendations?
KTPie
I'm hoping someone can speak to this, as we are in the same boat.

shawthorne44
They seemed incredibly expensive.
Dana
Ds did a young readers course two years ago. It was okay overall. He got decent feedback on his writing. We haven't done others because he wasn't too interested in taking them and they are so pricey. I wouldn't see doing math online until middle school or high school. geniusmom
My daughter took the Elementary Problem solving courses and really enjoyed them They are much more about enrichment than drilling and based in a computer game format she liked. It was really expensive, and the prices have gone up. I can't say that it is "worth" it as value is subjective. But she really liked it. She was able to complete each course it in 3 months, we just made a schedule and stuck to it. I home school, and it was still cheaper (and better) than private school. I wouldn't to the CTY digestion of EPGY math... it seems way too overpriced as you can do the same for so much less through EPGY. Oh, and she did 3 young readers courses and enjoyed them and her writing improved a lot, again, it works best if you child can keep to a schedule, it is session based.
