wapiti
This is just for fun, of course. http://brain-test.net/braintest/eng/?data=NTMsNDc%3D Edited September 15, 2016 by wapiti

Heathermomster
Here's an article. I hold a STEM degree and expected to test left brained. Maybe using spatial/visual thinking skills to rotate 3D objects in one's head helps to understand and solve higher math. I see patterns and can understand exploded diagrams quickly. Or maybe that test doesn't really mean anything. It's interesting whatever the case.

The second time, it looked counter-clockwise. Now I did it again, and it looked clockwise; I also answered a little differently and came up with 68% right-brained. I've always leaned VSL (IMO) so it was funny to come out as even.
Princess Ariel
I came out as being 72% left brained. I didn't realize it was that strong but may explain why I have such a difficult time with my artsy, creative dd!
Indian summer
I always come out 50-50-ish on these things, and my perception can also vary as someone else said about the dancer. Does that make me whole brained? Idk.
OneStepAtATime
68% left brained...wonder what DD would be. She and I don't seem to be on the same page in how we process information at all... :) She is at a last minute rehearsal for her drama performance tonight so I will wait to give her the test until tomorrow. I think she will find it fun. :) Thanks for the link, wapiti!
Heathermomster
DD 54% right and DS 72% right...
Tiramisu
I'm pretty even, a little more left, but in the 50s.
Alice
I was even although I found the color/word test really really hard. I had to concentrate and it was almost painful to pick what seemed like the "wrong" answer.

Or maybe that test doesn't really mean anything. It's interesting whatever the case. 84% right brained. First degree in civil engin, postgrad in computer engin. Lefthander force to be right hander and become ambidextrous. Since some of my favorite subject are CAD/CAM and finite element modeling, I guess I'm not surprise. Maybe I'll try again later and see if my score changes. I was even although I found the color/word test really really hard. I had to concentrate and it was almost painful to pick what seemed like the "wrong" answer. I think treating the color/word test as a color blindness test helped. I just look at the first letter's color and pick and didn't read the word.
OneStepAtATime
DD took the test. 59% left brained. She stared a long time at the screen for the dancer before picking the direction she thought she was going. Then she stared and stared when it asked her to put her hand on top of her head. She finally said "Which hand?" I told her it didn't matter and she started to put her left, then her right, then her left and finally sighed and used her right. She had the same uncertainty with closing one eye. And crossing her hands across her chest. :)
Arcadia
My 9 year old boy score a 50%/50%. My 8 year old score a 47%/53%. Older is a right hander, younger is more of an ambidextrous but predominantly right hand. Just very surprised that anyone could score a 50/50. ETA: Hubby score a 50/50 too and our boys were so tickled they are just like their daddy.

LizzyBee
I took that one and I think I scored 78% left-brained. I usually score even higher to the left on these quizzes. Sometimes I wonder where these right-brained kids of mine came from. I'm pretty sure my dh would score right-brained, though. I had to stare at the dancer for a long time, not to figure out which direction she was going, but to decide which arrow to click for that direction. Further proof of left-brainedness, lol.
