elementary geometry?

Recommended Posts

The main math area  where DD the older struggles is elementary level geometry. I think it's because there are just too many terms and she can't hang on to them and their meaning.   I have wondered if something more story based might be able to get it to stick.   Has anyone had this problem and found a solution?

Funny I have been eyeing BA about this - a combo of 3A/4A could be great or a complete failure - it's hard to tell.

geodub, I must admit I  can't quite see bringing rhombus, trapezoid, quadrilateral and polygon into our everyday conversation and as for isosceles, and scalene, well :crying:  - but maybe, just maybe I could start small with circumference, radius and diameter though.
