My oldest usually snacks on frozen peas (still frozen).

yum!!!  I agree with your oldest!

Nori sheets, straight from the bag. She's Japanese and doesn't know it. ;)

My kids do this!!!  They love it!!!!

My daughter doesn't eat dessert.  She just doesn't like sweets.  Waiters/waitresses think that's SOOOO odd when we go out!  But, I'm the same way.

Hilarious stories:)

The other day I made an apple pie for a departmental function for hubby...dd4 refuses to eat apples, but apparently she LOVES the apple peels if there is not too much actual apple on it! I think she ate the peels of roughly 6 apples😳

My older boys used to fight over the peels when I peeled apples for the younger ones. :)

We have a corner store on our street, and I've always let the boys walk there on Friday afternoons to get a treat, which usually ends up being chips, candy or a chocolate bar. One week, when the older three were about 5, 7 and 9, they came running back to the house, super excited that the store had mangos! They pooled their money and bought a bunch of mangos and a bag of Doritos to share.

Oh, and last week I got a strange email from dd''s play-based preschool where she attends 6 hours per week:

Apparently it is 'very strange' that dd refused to eat the special treat doughnuts the other kids got...but she was perfectly fine with the container of raspberries in her bag:)

Funnily enough, when we are on vacation we always go for doughnuts as a family. But only that one time, on vacation. I guess dd did not consider it a doughnut-worthy occasion:)

Oh, I wish I could convince her to eat 'normal' raw foods like carrot/celery/beans/cucumber. It would be so much easier for me!

Instead she wants to munch on broccoli, cherry tomatoes (they eat these like grapes), capsicum (bell pepper for americans), bok choy stalk, onion, etc...

Yup, he was helping me make dinner last night and talked me into giving him a "zample" of each veggie raw. (Why he does that with that S, I don't know.)

lol, my older kids say "zample" too!  They love going to Costco for the "zamples".

One of DD's earliest words was bocci (broccoli) long before she was two.   She could smell it cooking and scream out the word, toddling full tilt into the kitchen.  I would placate her with a raw one while she waited for the cooked ones.  And salads for snack after school...far more popular than sweets, etc.  DS...not so much. :(

Love the stories here... :)
